Name That Hat!

I’m supposed to be grabbing my coffee to go and be flying out the door to work. Obviously, I’m not. What I want to be doing is more of this:
because it’s that kind of crazy-hypnotic knitting that is as close to rhythmic rocking as I can get. It goes on forever, there’s no shaping, and it’s not stockinette. I wonder how long it should get. I need to look at the pattern soon.
a cabley kid’s hat in Martha’s Vineyard Fiber Farm worsted. I don’t have a name for the pattern yet and I am entire open to suggestions. Something to do with MV would be the idea here. I wrote the pattern to be in two sizes, child’s and women’s.
Another finished object (I apologize for the bad photos — no sun today)
Miss Olivia wearing the finished shawl. It’s knit in several directions based upon this by Karen at PhiBetaKitten with the alternate ending and ruffles added. Again, Martha’s Vineyard Fiber Farm worsted. I don’t think I can do the colors of this yarn justice. It’s such a joy to knit with it all red and pink and orange.
Okay, now I really am late for work.

I like the hat, but have no creative suggestions for names. I really suck at that. I would call it something like “Cable Head Tassel Hat”. You could call it CHTH for short.
Also, the shawl is very pretty.
I really like it! It looks great with the ruffle instead of flower fringe although I really love the knitted flowers too. This is definitely a more universal wrap.
wow - your cables are lovely - and the yarn on your blog banner is stunning!!! what colors!!! Thanks for the inspiration!
