Snack Time!

I was doing a little blog eating reading and was amused to find that Pam was making the connection between fiber and food. My blog has been called ‘Knitting Kitchen’ for years because back in 2002, before there was Knit New York or any of the swank knitting cafes in LA, I had the idea of creating a space that was full of creative potential, combining good fiber and good food.
The Fates handed me the incredible opportunity to set up a wonderful knitting emporium. I had a lot of fun, worked really hard, and learned a lot. One of the things I learned is co-creation is only fun with equal partners. ’nuff said.
So no more knitting store for me, and I took my concept of a creative space into virtual reality. As they say on the map at the Mall, “You Are Here”.
Now, The Knitting Philistine has created a Flickr group for people who see some things the way I do. Bringing people and their ideas together is one of the things that the web does well. Head over to Fiberlicious and nosh on a little inspiration to-go.
