I finished the ‘tiger socks’. They were dyed with Kool-aid. I was disappointed that the grape came out brown. Due to that interesting turn, I added a touch of turquoise as an after thought. I was away for a week, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t making things. I decided to do a little crocheting while on the road and I chose a pattern by Alicia Paulson of Posey Gets Cozy. She really has a wonderful design sense and I loved making this blanket. She calls it Tiramisu.

This photo of Barry was taken on April 7th, 2007. Barry, a retired history professor and author, has been a part of my life for 36 years. Last week, Barry died following complications from surgery. I’m still in shock and I’m very grateful for all of the happy memories he has left with me.
